American Chop Suey
 
 
1/2 lb    lean pork stew meat cubed  
1/2 lb    lean beef stew meat cubed  
1   large onion chopped  
1 cup    celery cut diagonally  
1   can water chestnuts, un-drained  
2   cans bean sprouts  
1   can bamboo shoots  
1   large can mushrooms  
1/2 cup    soy sauce  
1/2 cup    chicken broth  
 
1 Brown the meat in a large skillet or wok.
2 Add onions and celery. Sauté 2-3 minutes.
3 Add all ingredients to the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
4 Thicken. Serve with brown rice.
